A wide variety of models to suit your needs
Powerful magnetism and strong clamping force ensures consistent, accurate measurement
Magnetic base with On/Off switch
Dial indicator with lug back or plain back
General Magnetic Bases are widely used in metalworking to hold dial indicators. They are also used in other fields such as optics. The General Magnetic Base B helps you set up your workpiece in a surface grinder, milling machine or other form of machinery. The vertical post and rod in the magnetic base connect using swiveling connectors or snugs. This allows the arm to move freely so you can move the dial indicator into position on the workpiece. The iron in the “on†position acts as an extension of the magnet, while magnet in the “off†position acts as a keeper, preventing the magnetic field from extending through the base.
