Relatively new to the music market, Alnico 8 offers a great alternative to ceramic magnets. These are strong magnets with a naturally aggressive tone. Used often in hot bridge position pickups, these magnets offer a heavy bottom, high output, and relatively full mids.

AlNiCo (cast)
-Remanence(Br), measure the strength of the magnetic field;
-Coercivity (Hcb), the material’s resistance to becoming demagnetized;
-Energy product (BHmax), the density of magnetic energy, which relates to the magnetic flux output per unit volume. Higher values indicate stronger magnets
-Curie temperature (Tc), the temperature at which the material loses its magnetism.
