Many retailers and wholesalers buy their magnetic tools from China, because China supplies the best and highest quality of magnetic tools. Being connected to Chinese suppliers will give you access to a wide variety of magnetic tools, at best price, that you can offer to your customers. The more suppliers you contract with, the more you can establish yourself as the No. 1 seller of magnetic tools in your area.
Knowledge is Power
An extensive knowledge of magnets is crucial when dealing with suppliers. There are, unfortunately, suppliers of fake magnetic tools who prey on unsuspecting retailers in the hopes that these retailers won’t be able to distinguish between real magnets and fake ones. These unscrupulous suppliers will claim to offer high-quality magnetic tools, then after you’ve paid a high price for them and receive your order, you discover that what you paid for are cheap, low-quality products.
There are four pitfalls you want to avoid when looking for a Chinese supplier to buy your products from:
1.Don’t be fooled by impressive, high-quality samples. Some suppliers will provide samples that appear to be the cream of the crop, just to hook you into doing business with them. Impressed, you readily place an order–convinced you’re getting quality products, only to get a rude awakening later on when you receive a stock of cheap, low quality magnetic tools that are worth only a fraction of what you’ve paid for them. To avoid falling into this trap, only seek out veteran suppliers with more than five years’ experience in the magnetic tool industry and are credible and have established a reputable business.
2.Beware of magnetic tools containing magnets made from low-grade or waste material. Magnetic tools are used in many industrial and commercial projects, so customers expect them to be made with strong, durable magnets that are are high-performance and long-lasting. If you sell your customers magnetic tools containing poor magnetic material, it won’t be long before you’re out of business.
3.Watch out for refurbished magnetic tools. Some suppliers will trick you into paying a high price for magnetic tools that appear to be top of the line, high-quality products, when what you’ve paid for are tools containing refurbished magnets. Refurbished magnets are not guaranteed to last as long, may not be as strong and may not perform as well as a brand new magnet. Your customers would very unhappy if you sold them a “new†magnetic tool that turned out to be one made with a refurbished magnet.
4.Beware of magnetic tools made with environmentally unfriendly magnetic materials. Many suppliers will sell you magnetic tools made with cheap magnets made from environmentally unsafe materials that could have an adverse effect your customers’ health. If a customer’s health suffers as a result of using a magnetic tool you sold to him, you’ll not only lose customers, you could face legal action.
Get Feedback
If you’re not sure about the quality of magnetic tools that a supplier is offering, do some research. Ask around to see if other retailers have done business with the supplier. If so, ask these retailers for feedback on their experiences with the supplier.
